THE DIAMOND NECKLACE

The Necklace is a famous short story written by Guy de Maupassant. in this story he tells a story of less-privileged couple Mathilde and Loisel. Loisel is a clerk and his wife Mathilde is unhappy about their social position. 

 Mathilde Loisel is a pretty lady she has married a clerk in the department of education. Mathilde feels the burden of her poverty. she rejects and imagining more than her the current status she posses is no jewel or clothing without jewelry and dress. she feels not good. she has one wealthy friend Mrs. Forester she refuses to meet her because of her bad status.

one night her husband came home with an invitation to a formal party. that party was hosted by the ministry of education. he hopes that Mathilde will be thrilled but she becomes angry and begins to cry. she tells her husband that she has nothing to wear a single jewel and good dress her husband is upset by her reacting cost. she tells him that 400 francs would be enough Loisel gave her money to buy a well good dress she borrows the necklaces from Mrs. Forster.

 on the day of the party Mathilde starts to behave strangely Mathilde is the most beautiful woman in the party and everyone wanted to take with her she was intoxicated in the party and very happy. when the husband and wife returned from the party. Mathilde discovers that her necklace not in her neck. immedidatelyLoisel goes outside and retraces these steps.

 After that, he returns home and he has not found the necklace. he narrates Mathilde to write a letter to Mrs forester by mentioning that the necklace has broken and is getting repaired. they continue to look for the necklace. they visit many jewelers shop to searching for a similar necklace. and finally, they find one it costs 40,000 francs. the shop keeper offer that for 36,000 francs Loisel spend several days to arrange the money from all sides finally that he purchase the necklace. when Mathilde returns the necklace Mrs forester says how long you took to give back after they handover of the necklace Mathilde relived. 

 the poor couple began to live in poverty. they dismiss the servants and move into a smaller apartment losel works three jobs and Mathilde spends all her time doing beauty housework. this situation goes with them for 10 years Matilde beauty in now gone she looks just likes the other women of poor households.

one day when she is in a walk she found Mrs forester but Mrs. forester did not recognize her suddenly. when Mathilde identifies her self Mrs. forester said she looks different than Mathilde clears that this differentiation learne to us just because by your necklace at the end of the story Mrs.forester tells Mathilde the original necklace was just
